Sum and Substance Hosta Black 16″ tall with equal spread36" tall, 60 72" spread, part full shade, pale lavender flowers. One of the largest Hosta available today, with 16", broadly ovate leaves and a huge, mounded form. Leaf color varies with the amount of available sun from light green to chartreuse to gold; prefers 4 6 hours of sun. Leaves are of good substance, corrugated, and glossy, giving them good slug resistance. Exhibits greater sun tolerance. Attracts hummingbirds. Zones 3 9. #1 grade, bareroot.
