Pulled from my travel sketchbook is this ink and marker piece created while looking out my hotel window in Gillette

I might have cursed it a few times for breaking down

My favorite part though was seeing my heeler in the back enjoying the drive or waiting on me to come out of the store

As a way to use up excess ink on my palette

You can always tell exactly where the water flows based on what's growing there. This scene of a dry creek bed along the backroad outside of Terlingua, Texas was no different.
