1 Effects of administration of viable A

When tirzepatide mimics the activity of the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) hormone, it sends signals of fullness to the brain, which reduces hunger cravings and food noise

Holst and coworkers in Copenhagen generated antibodies against peptides synthesized according to the deduced sequences, and used radioimmunoassays to analyse the occurrence, processing pattern, and secretion of immunoreactive glucagon-like peptides (GLPs) from the pancreas and the gut and found, in analogy with the differential processing of the N-terminal part of proglucagon (= glicentin), a similar differential processing also of the remaining part of proglucagon (50): in the pancreas, this resulted in formation and secretion of MPGF (45) (major proglucagon fragment), whereas in the gut there was both formation of and separate release of immunoreactive GLP-1 and GLP-2
