When Paracetamol May Be Helpful Paracetamol may be useful for: Fever due to common viral infections, post-vaccination fever, and many uncomplicated febrile illnesses Body aches, muscle pain, headache, toothache, and mild joint pain Pain after minor injuries, once a serious injury has been excluded by a clinician Fever and body pain in suspected dengue fever, where aspirin, ibuprofen, diclofenac, naproxen, and other NSAIDs should be avoided unless specifically prescribed by a doctor, because of increased bleeding risk Menstrual pain (mild to moderate), as part of symptomatic relief Paracetamol provides limited or insufficient relief in some situations
