While this study demonstrated the potential benefits of GSH augmentation in an elderly cohort, a future study design utilizing direct or indirect GSH level measurement in larger and more heterogeneous populations could be undertaken to more precisely identify which patients may benefit from such therapy while sparing others who may have sufficient levels of GSH from unnecessary intervention
