This was a question we pondered when we first encountered Bamboo baskets handcrafted by Taku san of Chicktack, who is involved in every part of bamboo basket making, from sourcing processing bamboo to finishing the baskets on Yakushima Island, Japan. The traditional Japanese bamboo weaving
