The blade is made of metal crafted to look like a sharpened edge (not sharp) with a metal guard (tsuba) and a handle made of black fabric and hard resin plastic. The guard is made of iron and depicts a dragon with the head on the handle side and the tail on the blade side. Woven into the handle are iron dragon charms called menuki. The sheath is black and made
