BUYU BEMBE ANCESTOR FIGURE D.R. CONGO ZAMBIA AFRICAN TRIBAL FETISH DOLL FIGURE ambu Royal Air Force fighter pilotBembe Buyu Democratic Republic of Congo Ancestor Doll. First half 20th Century. Impressive detail to beard and hair. With typical Bembe figure protruding belly and buttocks. 10 3 4 inches tall. Base around 3 1 2 inches in diameter. Excellent condition. Some age cracks as expected, but solid piece. Crack to left side of head. Small crack to left elbow but doesn't compromise the piece. (See photos).
