Victorian Clerks Desk with Sloping Top american The wood has a darklyThis is a superbly characterful antique clerks desk dating to the mid 19th century. Made of elm and pine it is solid and fairly heavy and has a well aged finish which will suit a rustic antique setting. The desk has a wide top with sloped lid which lifts up to reveal a fitted interior with six small drawers flanking a central cupboard. The desk is set on tall block legs and the wood is finished with a thick scumble glaze which has worn in places.
