80 cm piastra glass chandelier in modernist mid-century style Frame:Gold Illumination : Please ask usThe technique for making piastra glass dates back as far as the thirteenth century, and is very labour intensive, as the molten glass is formed into the required shape by hand, using iron tools, and then left to cool. The method may be traditional but the design and style of this gorgeous chandelier are pure 1970s mid century modernist. It belongs to our own private collection of hand crafted mid century lighting and chandeliers based on historical
