This piece was formed partly by chance, and perhaps a bit of intentional direction. Using an acrylic black ink, I wet the birch piece and let the ink flow in certain directions. Once that was dry, I felt like the image of the crow was visible. Naturally there were modification and a scraping off of oil paint layer, all which added to the depth and beauty of this magical creature. This piece is
