This shot was taken from an underground hide, so whilst I was hidden from sight, the lions were very much aware of my presence. Whether it was the scent or a slight noise that gave me away, this cheeky young male on the left was intent on staring me down through the darkness. I guess these guys arent known as Africas apex predator for nothing. AWARDS 2ND PRIZE :
