The original dress features brown silk charmeuse and is cut on the bias, like many dresses from the 1930s, creating a form fitting columnar silhouette. Bright green velvet wraps the shoulders, coming together in an oversized bow at the front of the dress. I made my bow from nine little pieces of pieces, layered atop one another.
