Built from a blend of specialty malts with notes of toasted biscuit, roasted nuts, and subtle cocoa powder, the brewers matured them for 30 months in Old Elk Bourbon barrels. The extended barrel time developed a rich malty character. Charred American oak adds depth and balances the toasted, sweeter elements of the brown base ale with subtle savory and vanilla notes.
